Two-time NJAC
Offensive Soccer Player of the Year, Kean's Rudy Lormil was selected in
the third round of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) annual amateur
draft by the Philadelphia Kixx. The Irvington, New Jersey native was the
31st player chosen overall. In 2002, Lormil led Kean with 25 goals and 56 points, the fourth-best single-season totals in program history, as the Cougars finished 16-5 overall. The NJAC leader in both categories also finished the year ranked in the Top 10 in the nation in goals and points. Lormil concluded his collegiate career ranked second in all-time goals (66) and third in career points (147) at Kean. The Cougars posted an overall record of 65-19-3 during the course of his four-year career. Lormil’s list of post-season accolades include being named the 2002 NJAC Offensive Player of the Year, a 2002 third-team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American, and a three-time, first-team All-NJAC selection. Lormil also earned three All-Atlantic Regional All-American honors. Following the 2001 campaign when the Cougars finished 18-3 and advanced to the NCAA tournament, Lormil was named a second-team NSCAA All-American. |
