 WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP


PERFECT 4-0 LEAGUE MARK GIVES LIONS FOURTH STRAIGHT TITLE

The College of New Jersey Women's Swimming & Diving team wrapped up a perfect 4-0 NJAC season and clinched its fourth consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference championship with a 124-64 win over William Paterson on February 8.

With the victory, the Lions improved to 11-3 overall and clinched an undefeated NJAC conference season. In addition to the win over William Paterson, TCNJ cruised through its NJAC schedule by posting league victories over Montclair State (148-88 on October 27), Rowan (127-78 on January 29) and Kean (111-72 on February 1).

The championship marked the second title in two years at the helm of the TCNJ program for head coach Jennifer Harnett. With the victory over William Paterson, the Lions have now posted six consecutive victories and wins in ten of their last 11 dual meets.

The Lions women's swimming & diving championship marked the fifth NJAC title won by The College of New Jersey during the 2002-03 academic year. To date, the Lions have also captured NJAC championships in Women's Tennis, Women's Cross Country, Men's Cross Country, and Women's Soccer.
