WILLIAM PATERSON'S O'CONNOR PROFILED IN
PRO FOOTBALL WEEKLY PRO PROSPECTS PREVIEW

SENIOR TIGHT END IDENTIFIED AS PROFESSIONAL
 PROSPECT BY NATIONAL PUBLICATION

William Paterson University senior tight end Justin O'Connor has been identified as a professional prospect by NFL scouts and was recently profiled in the 2002-03 Pro Football Weekly Pro Prospects Preview.

The 6-7, 265-pound tight end attracted the attention of professional scouts all season after catching 20 passes for 193 yards for the Pioneers while proving to be a solid blocker in both the running and passing games.

O’Connor wrapped up his two-year playing career at William Paterson by being named an honorable mention New Jersey Athletic Conference selection following the 2002 season. Formerly an offensive and defensive lineman for William Paterson during the 2001 season, the versatile O'Connor also spent time at fullback and wide receiver during his two-years of participation at Paterson.

Prior to playing with the Pioneers, O’Connor attended Penn State University where he served as a back-up to current Jacksonville Jaguar tight end Kyle Brady in 1995 after redshirting for the Nittany Lions during the 1994 season. He departed from Penn State in 1996 and enlisted in the Army, serving in the 101st Airborne Unit until 2001.

Following service to his country, O'Connor resumed his football playing career at William Paterson in 2001 where he joined a Pioneer offensive unit that included his brother Sean at quarterback.
