KEAN'S HAMBURGER CAPTURES HIS 100TH CAREER
MEN'S BASKETBALL COACHING VICTORY

REACHES MILESTONE WITH 76-56 WIN OVER FERRUM ON JANUARY 3

After becoming Kean's all-time winningest men's basketball coach with his 99th career victory on December 28, Bruce Hamburger eclipsed the 100-win plateau with a 76-56 victory over Ferrum at the first round of the Villa Julie Tournament on January 3.
Now in his ninth season at the helm of the Kean program, Hamburger has helped develop winning programs at each stop of his coaching career.

He began his career at The College of New Jersey (then Trenton State College) under Kevin Bannon, formerly the head coach at Rider College and Rutgers University. Together, they guided the Lions to a two-year record of 49-13 and a pair of NCAA Division III Tournament bids.

Hamburger then moved to P.J. Carlesimo's staff at Seton Hall University in 1986, helping bring the Pirates from the Big East Conference cellar to the NCAA Division I Championship game in 1989. Seton Hall won four Big East championships, and made six NCAA Tournament and two National Invitational Tournament (NIT) appearances during his tenure as an assistant. He accepted his first head coaching position at Kean in October of 1995.

Hamburger is currently a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Congress, representing the NJAC, and is a former president of the New Jersey College Basketball Coaches Association.
