Former Kean women’s basketball All-American center Jaquana Abdullah
(1999-2003) has continued her basketball career abroad, as she is
currently playing in the Netherlands Basketball Association
(Nederlandse Basketball Bond). The program’s all-time leading

Abdullah, who made the trip over to Groningen, Holland in late
February, recorded a pair of double-doubles in recent games.
“Offensively she is very impressive and will be a great asset to the
team,” said Celeritudo Head Coach Kees Amama. “Her minutes will
continue to increase as she improves her conditioning and
understands
our defensive system.”
“This is a great opportunity for Jaquana,” said Kean Head Coach
Michele Sharp. “It shows the quality of players in the New Jersey
Athletic Conference and their ability to play professional
basketball.”
As a senior at Kean, Abdullah earned Kodak/WBCA All-America
Honorable Mention distinction and was named a D3hoops.com

(180-328). Abdullah, who had 15 double-doubles, ranked in the Top
Five in the NJAC in scoring (4th), rebounding (4th), field-goal
percentage (2nd) and blocks (4th) her final season.
A four-year starter, Abdullah finished her career as the program’s
