ROWAN'S WILSON CAPTURES HER 300TH
CAREER SOFTBALL COACHING VICTORY


REACHES MILESTONE WITH DOUBLEHEADER SWEEP OF LEBANON VALLEY


Rowan head softball coach Kim Wilson earned her 300th career win on March 25 when the Profs swept a double header over Lebanon Valley College, 3-1 and 1-0. In 14 seasons, Wilson has complied an overall record of 300-139. Her eight-year coaching record at Rowan is 236-82.  

Wilson has guided the Profs to three New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships and five NCAA Championship Tournament appearances. Last season, Rowan finished with an overall record of 19-15 record.  The 2002 season marked the sixth straight season that the Profs posted 30 or more victories, as Rowan posted a 33-16 mark while winning their second straight conference title and advancing to the region final of the NCAA tournament.

The Profs won the NJAC Championship in 2001 and finished advanced to the national tournament. Rowan finished 32-13 in 2000. In 1999, Rowan compiled a 37-10 record which tied the 1994 school mark for wins in a season. The Profs won the region title and advanced to the national championship tournament. Wilson was selected the 1999 NJAC Coach of the Year.

The Profs ended 1998 with a 35-9 record and won the NJAC Championship en route to an NCAA regional appearance. Wilson was named the NJAC Coach of the Year and the Atlantic Region Coach of the Year. In
1997, she coached the softball team to a 35-5 record and a berth in the NCAA regional.

Prior to Rowan, Wilson was the head softball coach at Washington & Jefferson College (PA) for six seasons where she recorded a 64-57 overall record. She also served as the head coach of the Presidents' women's soccer team. Wilson was chosen as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Softball Coach of the Year in 1996 and 1993. The Washington & Jefferson softball team finished the 1996 season with a 26-5 overall record and the PAC championship.
