LEADS NJAC MEN TO A 124-115 VICTORY |

Ramapo’s Amin Wright was named the NJAC Most Valuable Player after pouring in a game-high 24 points as the New Jersey Athletic Conference seniors downed the City University of New York seniors, 124-115, in the fifth annual CUNY-NJAC Senior All-Star Game in The Golden Dome.
Wright, who finished with six rebounds, three steals and two assists, netted nine points in the fourth period. He started a decisive 9-0 run with a pair of free throws and ended it with a layup at 2:45 which gave the New Jersey team a 118-105 lead.
CUNYAC MVP Shacun Malave of New York City College of Technology had 17 points, nine rebounds and two blocks while Staten Island’s Mike Stewart tallied a team-high 18 points with three steals and six rebounds.
The College of New Jersey’s Derick Grant came off the bench to pour in 21 points while Montclair State’s Michael Gluck collared a game-high 14 rebounds and blocked two shots.
The NJAC also got 14 points from Rutgers-Camden’s Tyrone Rucker and 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists from Richard Stockton’s Brian Hiltner.
CSI’s John Smith and Jason Coke posted double-doubles with Smith getting a dozen points and 11 boards, and Coke collecting 10 of each.
It was the NJAC’s fourth straight win in the series which began in 2001. |
