ROWAN'S McCORMACK NAMED WBCA ALL-AMERICAN


NJAC CO-PLAYER OF THE YEAR ONE OF TEN PLAYERS HONORED NATIONALLY 


Rowan University guard Jaime McCormack was named to the 2005 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA)/Eastman Kodak Division III All-America Basketball Team. The selection committee in each of the WBCA geographical regions chose the 10 players to be honored.

McCormack was Rowan’s leading scorer with 19.3 points per game. She was first in the New Jersey Athletic Conference in scoring and ranked 17th in the nation. McCormack also averaged 5.3 rebounds, 3.48 assists and 2.59 steals per game. In addition, she was tied for second in the NJAC in assists and fifth in steals. Her .449 field goal percentage was sixth in the conference.

She was chosen as the NJAC Co-Player of the Year and to the All-Conference first team. Three times during the season McCormack was chosen the NJAC Player of the Week. She was named the Most Valuable Player of the Holiday Inn Tournament at the beginning of the season.

Against Richard Stockton on February 16, McCormack scored her 1,000th career point. She is the 13th women’s player to reach the mark at the University. In 78 career games, McCormack scored 1,089 points, ranking ninth on the school's all-time scorers list.
