 265 STUDENT-ATHLETES NAMED TO THE 2003-04
NJAC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

CONFERENCE STANDOUTS HONORED FOR ACADEMIC AND ATHLETIC EXCELLENCE

On July 14, the New Jersey Athletic Conference announced that 265 of the league’s student-athletes have been named to the 2003-04 NJAC All-Academic Team. Student-athletes from each of the conference’s 10 member institutions are represented on the 2003-04 squad.

Nominations and selections were administered by each member institution and approved by the conference’s Board of Athletic Administrators. The 264-member team consists of 20 first-team selections, 20-second-team selections, and 225 honorable mention selections.

To be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must have completed 24 or more credits while possessing a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20. In addition, he or she must have been a starter or significant contributor in a conference-sponsored sport.

Originally instituted by the conference’s sports information directors, the New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Academic Team was developed in an effort to honor the combined academic and athletic achievements of the league’s student-athletes.
