PINTON NAMED INTERIM HEAD MEN'S SOCCER COACH AT RAMAPO

FORMER ROADRUNNER ALUM TO LEAD PROGRAM IN 2004

On August 31, Ramapo College Athletic Director Eugene Marshall, Jr., announced the appointment of DJ Pinton as the Roadrunners’ interim head men's soccer coach for the fall 2004 season.

Pinton returned to his alma mater five years ago to serve as an assistant for the program, following completion of his degree in marketing in 1999. A three-year member of the Roadrunner men’s soccer team, Pinton left his mark as one of the top players in program history. The 1997 Ramapo College Athlete of the Year, Pinton also received First-Team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors for two consecutive years in 1996 and 1997. In 1996 he was named to the All-Mid Atlantic Region First-Team and the All-State team in 1997. He served as an assistant coach for the Roadrunner women’s soccer program in 1998 and has served as an assistant coach for the men’s volleyball team since 2001.

In addition to the appointment of Pinton, PJ Bartolotto will serve as an interim assistant coach after serving seven years as the team’s goalkeeping coach. Jon Gray and Dany Estupinan will also serve on the coaching staff for the first time in 2004.
