CAREER SOCCER COACHING VICTORY


REACHES MILESTONE WITH WIN OVER MEDGAR EVERS ON OCTOBER 5


Ramapo College head women's soccer coach
Arnold Ramirez recorded his 300th career victory on October 5 when the Roadrunners defeated visiting Medgar Evers,11-0. The 2004 season represents Ramirez's 33rd season as a head coach on the collegiate level.

Ramirez began his coaching career at New York University where he led the Violets to 33 total wins during his tenure. He then accepted a head coaching position at Manhattanville College in Purchase where he notched 12 victories in a two-year stint with the Valiants.

Ramirez then enjoyed an illustrious 20-year tenure as the head men's soccer coach at Long Island University. During his stay at the Brooklyn institution, he posted 214 wins to become the all-time winningest coach in program history. He also guided the Blackbirds to nine post-season tournament bids including four NCAA Division I Tournament appearances. 

Now in his sixth year at the helm of the Ramapo women's soccer program, Ramirez has added 41 wins during his tenure with the Roadrunners.
