RAUBE NAMED ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR/
COMPLIANCE OFFICER AT ROWAN


FORMER RUTGERS-CAMDEN ASSISTANT AD/SWA TO JOIN PROF STAFF


Rowan University has named Patty Raube to the position of Assistant Athletic Director/Compliance Officer. The announcement was made by Director of Athletics Joy Solomen.

"We are pleased to welcome Patty to the athletic department," Solomen said. "Her experience and background in athletic administration and compliance will add another dimension to our staff. She will enable us to continue to serve our student-athletes in a very positive manner and ensure that their experience at Rowan University is rewarding."

Raube will be responsible for the organization and administration of eligibility of the Prof student-athletes and academic advisement. In addition, she will oversee the operation of Esby Gymnasium, serve as facility coordinator for NCAA events, and be responsible for game management.

Most recently Raube served was assistant athletic director/senior women's administrator at Rutgers-Camden since December 2003. She also served as compliance/life skills assistant at Division I Rutgers University (August 2003-November 2003) and academic counselor at Campbell University (NC) (July 2001-May 2003). In addition, she taught physical education at B'nai Shalom Day Schools (NC), was an in-schools suspension teacher at Northwest Middle School (NC), served as head athletic trainer at Grimsley High School (NC) and aquatics coordinator at Guilford College YMCA (NC).

Raube graduated from Greensboro College in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in physical education and sports medicine. In 2003, she eared her master's in administration and counseling at Campbell University. Raube is also a 2004 graduate from the Institute of Administrative Advancement with the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administration (NACWAA).

At Greensboro College, Raube lettered for four years in soccer and lacrosse. She was a student athletic trainer (1994-98), president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) (1997-98) and a Campbell Honor House Recipient. Raube is currently a member of the NACWAA, the Women's Sports Foundation, and the Greensboro College Circle of Pride. She also serves as the recording secretary for the Camden Youth Soccer Club.
