KEAN'S JONES AND KIETT TO PLAY FOR THE
ARENA FOOTBALL 2 LEAGUE'S ALBANY CONQUEST

DUO TO PLAY THEIR FIRST PROFESSIONAL GAME ON APRIL 6

Two former Kean all-conference football players have signed contracts to play for the Albany Conquest of the ArenaFootball 2 League.  Lineman Ricky Jones and defensive back Aharon Kiett have made the 25-player roster for the Conquest's first game of the 2007 season.

A three-time New Jersey Athletic Conference all-conference selection, Jones finished fifth on the 2005 squad in tackles (47) and was tied for team- and conference-high honors with three forced fumbles.  Jones, who earned first-team all-conference honors in 2005, also tied for team-high honors with eight tackles for a loss in his senior campaign.

Kiett, who will also play wide receiver for the Conquest, closed out his career as a member of the Cougar squad that captured the 2006 Eastern College Athletic Conference Southeast Bowl Championship following a 7-4 season.  In the first winning season in over a decade at Kean, Kiett earned Don Hansen Football Gazette Honorable Mention All-American and second-team All-East Region honors after also being named to the D3football.com East Region third team and New Jersey Athletic Conference second-team.

In 2006, Kiett had a team-high three interceptions to go along with 45 total tackles. He also had 20 pass breakups to lead the NJAC and rank second in the nation in passes defended per game. For his career, Kiett ranks tied for fourth all-time with 12 career interceptions.

The Conquest open the 2007 season against the Mahoning Valley Thunder on April 6.
