ROWAN'S WILSON CAPTURES HER 400TH
CAREER SOFTBALL COACHING VICTORY


REACHES MILESTONE WITH A 9-2 WIN OVER STOCKTON ON APRIL 10


With a 9-2 victory over Richard Stockton in the first game of an NJAC doubleheader on April 10, Rowan head softball coach Kim Wilson captured her 400th career coaching victory.  


Wilson has 404 victories in 17 seasons. Her career collegiate coaching record stands at 404-178. As the head coach of the Profs, she has accumulated a mark of 340-121. 

 

Wilson has guided Rowan to three New Jersey Athletic (NJAC) Championships (2002, 2001, 1998) and six NCAA Division III Championship Tournament appearances (2006, 2002, 2001, 1999, 1998, 1997). Rowan won the region title in 1999 and went to the national championship tournament. In 1999, Wilson was selected the NJAC Coach of the Year.   

 

In 2006, the Profs set the school record for wins in a season with a 41-7 mark. Rowan advanced to the conference championship tournament and reached the final of the NCAA Regional. Under Wilson, Rowan has had seven seasons with 30-plus victories. Wilson was also named the 1998 NJAC Coach of the Year and the Atlantic Region Coach of the Year. 

 

Prior to Rowan, Wilson was the head softball coach at Washington & Jefferson College (PA) for six years, where she compiled an overall record of 64-57. She also served as the head coach of the Presidents’ women’s soccer team. She was chosen the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Softball Coach of the Year in 1996 and 1993. The W&J softball team finished the 1996 season with a 26-5 overall record and the Presidents were the 1996 PAC Champions.
