The Lions received all six of the first place votes cast by the coaches. Under the direction of seventh-year head coach Scott Dicheck, TCNJ has posted an overall record of 57-18. TCNJ returns three all-conference players including the 2004 and 2005 NJAC Player of the Year in junior Christina Contrafatto. In addition, the Lions return a pair of all-league selections in senior Kristen Turturiello, and the 2005 NJAC Rookie of the Year in sophomore Haley Kutner. Richard Stockton College, the coaches’ dark horse selection, was selected to place second. Under the direction of sixth-year head coach Phil Birnbaum, the Ospreys have posted an overall record of 38-11, including a mark of 6-2 in 2005. Stockton returns a pair of all-conference selections from its 2005 squad including senior Kristin Tukel and sophomore Christa Phillips. After posting a school-best 11-1 overall record in 2005, Rutgers University-Newark was selected to place third. Fourth-year head coach Kevin Morris was selected as the 2005 NJAC Coach of the Year by his peers after guiding the Scarlet Raiders to a school-best second place NJAC finish with a 4-1 league mark. Ramapo College was selected to place fourth. The Roadrunners will be led by first-year head coach Nanine Gallo. William Paterson University, under the direction of second-year head coach Sandy Ross, was selected to place fifth. The Pioneers return a pair of all-conference doubles partners in seniors Evonne Tan and Alima Williams. Kean University, under the leadership of third-year head coach Evelyn Alfaro, was tapped to place sixth. NJAC league play will get underway on Saturday, September 2 when Richard Stockton hosts Ramapo in the first conference match of the year.
