NAMED ACTING HEAD ATHLETIC TRAINER |

Pozzi, a Rowan University graduate who joined the Scarlet Raider Athletic Training Staff as a full-time assistant last fall, takes over for Christopher Black. Black, the head trainer since 2001, left to take an appointment as a policeman in Westfield. Pozzi is in charge of the care and treatment of the ten varsity sports teams at Rutgers-Newark. The Budd Lake native served as a graduate assistant trainer at Rowan after earning her bachelor of arts in health and exercise science in 2003. She added a master of arts in public relations from the school in 2005. At Mt. Olive High School, Pozzi was team captain and all-conference for the Group III Section II championship field hockey team. She lettered in three sports including field hockey, softball and basketball. |
