ROWAN'S LEACOTT CAPTURES HIS 100TH CAREER
WOMEN'S SOCCER COACHING VICTORY

REACHES MILESTONE WITH 2-0 WIN OVER SALISBURY ON OCTOBER 4

Rowan University head women's soccer coach Scott Leacott earned his 100th career win when Rowan defeated Salisbury, 2-0 on October 4.

In eight seasons, Leacott has a coaching record of 100-31-15 and a .736 winning percentage. He is ranked in the top 20 of the winningest active coaches in Division III.

Last year, he guided Rowan to a 15-1-3 record and a berth in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The women’s soccer team set the school record for best won/lost record and consecutive wins in a season (10).

Since 1999, the Profs have had seven straight winning seasons under Leacott. In his first year, Rowan had a record of 17-3-2. The 17 wins is the school mark for most wins in a season. The women’s soccer team also made its first appearance in the national tournament.

In the past seven seasons, his teams have advanced to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship Tournament six times. Several of his players have earned All-Conference and All-Region honors.

Prior to taking over the women’s head position, Leacott was the associate head coach in 1998. He was also the assistant coach for the Rowan men’s soccer team from 1996 to 1998.  Leacott played for the Profs in 1992 and 1991. He earned All-Conference, All-State and All-Region honors two straight years.
