Former Rowan University wide receiver Sakeen Wright signed a contract with the Austin Wranglers of the Arena Football League (AFL).

In two years at Rowan, Wright totaled 1,752 yards and 23 touchdowns on 138 receptions.  e averaged 12.7 yards per catch and 67.4 receiving yards per game. Wright shares the Rowan record for touchdown passes in a season (16, 2004).  He also holds the school marks for most passes caught in a season (74, 2005) and highest average gain per reception (minimum 50 receptions) with 13.3 in 2004.

Wright was a two time New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Conference first team selection.  He was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southeast All-Star first team and the Don Hansen Football Gazette All-East Region third team twice.  Wright earned d3football.com All-East Region second team honors in 2005.
