Burke earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after
hitting .727 (8-for-11) with a double, two triples, and six runs scored in
a 4-0 week of play for Kean. He hit safely in all four contests and
produced three multiple-hit games including a 2-for-3 performance with a
triple and two runs scored in a 9-2 win over No. 9 Eastern Connecticut.
After going 2-for-3 with a run scored in a 6-0 win over Albright, he
wrapped up the week by going a combined 4-for-6 with a double, triple,
three runs scored and two stolen bases in the Cougars’ 8-2 and 4-3
doubleheader sweep of Brockport State. Burke currently leads the NJAC in
hits (11), triples (3) and total bases (18). |

Bartlinski earns NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors after
earning two victories on the mound while striking out 24 in two starts
during the week for the Cougars. He first allowed just five hits and two
earned runs in seven innings of work while striking out 13 in Kean’s 9-2
victory over No. 9 Eastern Connecticut. He wrapped up the week by
surrendering just seven hits and one earned run in five innings of work
while striking out 11 in an 8-2 win over Brockport State. Bartlinski
currently leads the NJAC in strikeouts (24). |

Connors becomes the second different Scarlet Raider to
earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after playing a key role in
Rutgers-Newark’s first victory of the season. In a 7-4 road win at
Stevens, he went 3-for-3 with a double, three walks, a stolen base, a RBI,
and two runs scored. He reached base during all six plate appearances in
his leadoff spot and handled four chances at his second base position
without an error. Connors currently ranks second in the NJAC in walks (4). |

McDonough earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors
for the second consecutive week after pitching the Roadrunners to a 5-0
win over Coe in the first game of their Spring Trip to Florida. In the
shutout victory, he surrendered just three hits and one walk while
striking out three to improve his record to 2-0 on the season. McDonough
currently is tied for the NJAC lead in both earned run average (0.00) and
wins (2). |
