OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

Ray Miles, SUNY Cortland
Junior, Quarterback

Miles earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after leading the Red Dragons to a 27-26 come-from-behind NJAC victory over Western Connecticut. In the win, he completed 31-of-46 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns. His scoring strikes of 22, 5, and 6 yards each came in the fourth quarter with Cortland trailing 20-9 at the beginning of the period. His 6-yard touchdown pass with just 12.4 seconds remaining proved to be the game-winner as the Red Dragons improved to 4-0 in the NJAC. Miles currently leads the NJAC in passer efficiency rating with a mark of 147.6.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

Brian Burd, William Paterson University
Senior, Defensive Line
Roxbury, NJ/Roxbury

Burd earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Pioneer defense in William Paterson’s 21-13 defeat to NJAC unbeaten TCNJ. In the contest, he registered a game-high 11 tackles, including seven solo stops. He also notched 4.5 tackles for a loss of 16 yards, including two sacks for a loss of 11. Burd currently ranks second in the NJAC in tackles for a loss per game with an average of 1.83.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK    

Chris Pollard, Rowan University
Junior, Defensive Back

Pollard earns NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors after playing a key role in the Profs’ 48-27 NJAC victory over Buffalo State. In the victory, he sparked the Profs’ special teams by blocking two punts. His first punt block came late in the first half and led to a Rowan touchdown prior to halftime. His second block came on Buffalo State’s very next punt in the final minute of the second quarter and helped secure Rowan its second NJAC win of the season. Pollard also recorded one special teams tackles in the win for the Profs.

OFFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Tim Hagerty, Rowan University
Freshman, Quarterback
Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro

Hagerty earns NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after leading the Profs to a 48-27 NJAC win over Buffalo State. In the victory, he completed 13-of-21 passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed eight times for 32 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a contest in which he played a part in five Rowan scores. Hagerty currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in passer efficiency rating with a mark of 125.1.

DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Chris Lauda, Kean University
Freshman, Defensive Back
Staten Island, NY/Curtis

Lauda earns NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after collecting nine tackles in Kean’s 27-12 NJAC road loss to rival Montclair State. He notched five solo stops and garnered an interception that he returned 80 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to put the Cougars within one score of the Montclair lead. In six games played for Kean on the season, Lauda has recorded 22 tackles, two interceptions, and one fumble recovery.
