OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

Michael Jump, Montclair State University
Senior, Quarterback

Jump becomes the second different Red Hawk to earn NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading Montclair to a 28-22 NJAC road win at Rowan. In the victory, he completed 13-of-28 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns. He connected on scoring plays of 22, 41, and 4 yards in the contest which marked the fourth time in his career that he had thrown for three touchdowns in a game. Jump, who averaged 20.1 yards per completion in the win, currently ranks fifth in the NJAC in passing yards per game (190.1).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

Dave Fontoura, The College of New Jersey
Junior, Defensive Back
Roseland, NJ/West Essex Regional

Fontoura becomes the second different Lion to earn NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after playing a key role in TCNJ’s 30-0 NJAC victory over Cortland. He notched four tackles from his defensive back position, and delivered the key play in the game with an 81-yard interception return for a touchdown which secured the Lions’ shutout. On the day, he was a key contributor to a Lions’ defense which held Cortland to just 214 total yards of offense. Fontoura currently ranks 34th in the NJAC in tackles with an average of 5.2 per game.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

Ricky Krautman, William Paterson University

Franklin Lakes, NJ/Ramapo

Krautman earns NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors after contributing to the Pioneers’ 30-27 NJAC victory over Kean. As William Paterson’s punter, he averaged 38.6 yards per punt on five attempts. As the Pioneers’ kicker, he connected on three extra points and delivered a game-winning 21-yard field goal as time expired to secure the victory. Krautman, who has recorded a school-record 18 punts inside-the-20 on the season, currently ranks second in the NJAC in field goal percentage (.727).

OFFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Wayne Neal, Western Connecticut University

Poughkeepsie, NY/Poughkeepsie

Neal earns NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week honors for the fifth time this season and the second consecutive week after sparking the Colonials to a 10-7 NJAC victory over Buffalo State. He finished the game with 32 careers for 126 yards with a long run of 29. With his fourth 100-yard rushing game of the season, he tied a Western Connecticut school record held by three other Colonials. Neal currently leads the NJAC in rushing with an average of 100.4 yards per game.

DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Jordan Cagle, Kean University

Cagle becomes the second different Cougar to earn NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Week honors after registering 11 total tackles in Kean’s loss at William Paterson. In the contest, he notched eight solo stops and recorded one sack for a loss of three yards. His 11-tackle effort on the day marked the third straight game in which he had recorded 10 or more tackles. Cagle currently ranks 37th in the NJAC in tackles with an average of 5.0 per game.
