WEEK ENDING 11/4/07

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Meghan Hall, William Paterson University
Junior, Forward
Turnersville, NJ/Washington Township

Hall becomes the third different Pioneer to earn NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after registering three goals for six points in a 2-0 week of play for William Paterson. After not scoring in the Pioneers’ 1-0 NJAC road win at Ramapo, she notched a hat-trick in the first 34 minutes of action during Paterson’s 11-0 non-conference victory over SUNY New Paltz in their regular season finale. William Paterson, who was selected as the number one seed in the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament, will host eighth-seeded Catholic in a first round game on November 7. Hall currently ranks tied for fourth in the NJAC in goals with 12 on the season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kacey Ehret, Rowan University
Sophomore, Back
Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood

Ehret becomes the fourth different Prof to earn NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after notching a goal from her back position in Rowan’s 4-3 NJAC overtime victory over Kean. In the win, she tied the game at 3-3 with her second career goal coming with just 2:41 remaining in regulation of Rowan’s regular season finale. The Profs, who earned an at-large selection to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, received a first round bye and will travel to Bowdoin for a second round game against an opponent to be determined on November 10. Ehret is part of a Rowan defensive unit that currently ranks third in the NJAC in team goals against average (1.25).
