CHERRY HILL– Rowan women’s soccer player Jess Babice was honored at the 106th Philadelphia Sports Writers Association Dinner on February 1 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill. Babice was honored along with a number of standouts in both professional and amateur sports including Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek and Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel.

PITMAN--The College of New Jersey women's soccer team is ranked third in final national polls released by D3soccer.com and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Rowan is ranked 14th in the final D3soccer.com poll and 17th in the final poll released by the NSCAA.

PITMAN—The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced on December 8 that two NJAC women’s soccer players have been named to the 2009 NSCAA All-American Team. The College of New Jersey’s senior forward Briann McDonough was named a first-team All-American selection, while Rowan junior forward Jess Babice was named to the NSCAA All-American third team.

CAPE COD (MA)—The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced on December 2 that Rowan University women's soccer players Jess Babice and Christine Foy were selected as the ECAC Metro Region Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year respectively for the 2009 season. The two Profs were among 10 NJAC women's soccer players who were named ECAC Division III Metro Region All-Star for the 2009 season. All selections were made by ECAC staff members.

POMONA--On October 24, the Stockton men’s and women’s soccer teams hosted a clinic for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic & Cape May Counties prior to the Stockton men’s soccer home game against Kean. Approximately 22 youngsters from the Big Brothers Big Sisters program participated along with players and coaches from the Stockton teams.

PITMAN--After capturing their first NJAC women’s soccer championship in program history in 2008, Rowan University was selected as the 2009 preseason women's soccer favorite in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Profs posted a 16-1-2 overall record in 2008 while advancing to the second round of the NCAA National Championship Tournament.
