MEN

The Gothic Knight women traveled to West Point, NY to compete at the Army Open on January 31. Senior Diana Lawson won the 400 meters in a ECAC qualifying time of 58:56. The Knights also had the second, third and fourth place finishers in the 400, with senior Angela Gray, junior Sandra Bethea and sophomore Andrea Herbert posting respective times of 1:00.43, 1:00.89, and 1:01.88. Lawson also won the 200 meter dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 25.05, while Herbert and Bethea finished first and third in the long jump with respective marks of 11.13 meters and 10.74 meters. The Gothic Knight men also competed at the Army Open on January 31. Sophomore Jonnie Taylor placed leaped an ECAC qualifying 6 feet, 6 inches to win the high jump, while also finishing third in the 60 meter high hurdles in a time of 8.61. Freshman Hyron Griffith placed second in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying  mark of 6.77 meters. Freshman Marvin Joseph placed fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 52.67, while sophomore Jose Camacho earned a 10th place showing in 56.38. Freshman David Perez placed 16th in the mile with a time of 4:46.33, while freshman Chris Smiga placed 12th in the 800 meters in a time of 2:03.60.

The Osprey women traveled to Chester, PA to compete at the Widener Invitational on January 31. Senior Kim Marino finished first in the pole vault with a successful attempt at 3.81 meters. Junior Jessica Caccamo captured first place in the shot put with a throw of 11.67 meters. Caccamo also placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 12.58 meters. Junior Tiffany Masuhr and freshman Audra  placed fourth and sixth in the weight throw with respective marks of 11.22 and 9.32 meters. Schappell also placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 10.64 meters.  The Osprey men also competed at the Widener Invitational on January 31. Sophomore Jake Owens captured first place in the pole vault with a successful attempt at 4.26 meters. Senior Mitchell Sye placed third in the shot put with a throw of 13.90 metes, while freshman Andrew O'Connor placed fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.81 meters.

MEN

The Lion women traveled to Lewisburg, PA to compete at the Bucknell Open on January 30-31. Sophomore Kara Horner and junior Jennifer Zucaro placed second and third in the 1,000 meters with respective times of 3:08.36 and 3:08.45. Sophomore Brittny Boyd finished second in the 400 meters and fifth in the 60 meters with respective times of 60.49 and 8.08. Freshman Khristelle Manuyag and sophomore Tiffany Clark placed third and sixth in the 60 meter dash with respective times of 7.98 and 8.09. Clark and freshman Angela Tecco placed second and fourth in the 500 meters with respective times of 1:21.02 and 1:22.02. Freshman Emily Alton placed sixth in the 500 meters with a time of 1:24.05, while sophomore Kate Powell placed sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:24.55. The Lion men also traveled to compete at the Bucknell Open on January 30-31. Junior Matt Molski and sophomore Dan McDonald placed first and fourth respectively in the 1,000 meters with respective times of 2:34.03 and 2:36.62. Freshman Paul Discepola and sophomore Mike Stomiany placed first and third in the 500 meters with respective times of 1:06.75 and 1:07.18. Lion All-American Chad Williams placed second in the heptathlon with a score of 4,701. Freshman Jeff Zodda placed seventh in the mile with a time of 4:25.53, while junior Ed Marion placed fifth in the high jump with a leap of 6 fee, 3 inches. Sophomore Steve Andrews placed second in the 60 meter dash and fifth in the 200 meters with respective times of 6.96 and 22.95.
