The Red Hawk women traveled to South Orange, NJ to compete at the Seton Hall Last Chance Meet on March 7. Sophomore Hashan Johnson won the long jump with a mark of 5.70 meters.   The Red Hawk men competed at the Seton Hall Last Chance Meet on March 7. Freshman Lance Wigfall placed first in the 500 meters while also helping the Montclair 4x400 meter relay team earn a first place victory. Senior Osei Bonsu placed second in the men's hurdles with a time of 8.41. Freshman Lamar Crew placed seventh in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.26, while sophomore Ben Glaz placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 9.25 meters. Sophomore Paul Noel placed sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 52.17.

The Gothic Knight women traveled to Brunswick, ME and finished third out of 39 teams in the ECAC Championships on March 5-6. Senior Diana Lawson won the 55 meter dash in an ECAC record time of 7.05. The NJCU 4x200 meter relay team of Lawson, senior Angela Gray, junior Sandra Bethea and sophomore Andrea Herbert placed first in a school record time of 1:42.89. The Gothic Knight 4x400 meter relay team of Herbert, Gray, Bethea and Lawson also placed first with a time of 3:55.14. Bethea placed third in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump with respective leaps of 5.15 and 11.07 meters. Herbert placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.41 meters. Gray placed third in the 400 meters with a time of 59.18. Senior Danay Caldwell placed sixth in the 200 meters with a time of 26.38.   The Gothic Knight men also traveled to Brunswick, ME and finished 12th at the ECAC Championships on March 5-6. Freshman Hyron Griffith won the long jump with a leap of 7.05 meters. The NJCU 4x200 meter relay team of freshman Marvin Joseph, sophomore Johnnie Taylor, freshman Hyron Griffith and freshman Terry Pearson finished third in a school record time of 1:32.37. Taylor finished sixth in both the high jump and the 55 meters with respective marks of 1.99 meters and 7.96. The Gothic Knight distance medley relay team of freshman David Perez, Joseph, freshman Chris Smiga and sophomore Joseph Carroll placed 10th in a time of 11:06.27. Pearson finished seventh in the 400 meters and eighth in the 55 meter dash with respective times of 51.16 and 7.03.

The Osprey women traveled to Brunswick, ME to compete at the ECAC Championships on March 5-6. The Osprys placed 23rd overall with 11 points. Senior Kim Marino placed first in the pole vault with an ECAC record mark of 12-feet, six-inches. Junior Jessica Caccamo placed eighth in the shot put and 20th in the weight throw with respective marks of 40-feet, five-inches and 39-feet, 2.5 inches.

The Lion women traveled to Collegeville, PA to compete at the Ursinus Last Chance Meet on March 6. The TCNJ distance medley relay team of junior Jennifer Zucaro, senior Lauren Ricci, freshman Angela Tecco and senior Lindsay Scarborough placed first with a time of 12:20.78. Senior Beth Vesey placed first in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:04.04, while sophomore Bobbi Jo Leighty won the shot put with a mark of 11.56 meters. Freshman Khristelle Manuyag placed first in the 200 meters and third in the 55 meter dash with respective times of 26.91 and 7.35. Sophomores Brittny Boyd, Tiffany Clark and Kate Powell placed second, third, and fourth in the 400 meters with respective times of 58.26, 58.82. and 59.40. Sophomore Erika Huggler placed third in the 55 meter hurdles in an NCAA provisional time of 9.5. The Lion men split their squad with some members competing at the IC4A Championships in Boston, MA and others competing at the Ursinus Last Chance Meet in Collegeville, PA. In Boston, the Lion distance medley relay team of junior Bill Vogel, freshman Ed Young, freshman Jeff Zodda and junior Matt Molski broke a school record with an NCAA provisional time of 9:58.85. The TCNJ 4x400 meter relay team of senior Kevin Semanick, junior Tim Wilson, senior Andrew Bordieri and sophomore Mike Stomiany posted a time of 3:16.99. At Ursinus, sophomore Steve Andrews posted an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 6.44 seconds in the 55 meter dash. Senior Brian Brach placed second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:01.65, while sophomore Chris Tranchina placed second in the shot put with a mark of 15.10 meters. Freshman Cory Schoonover placed second in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 7.87 seconds.
