MEN

The Osprey women traveled to Bethlehem, PA to compete at Lehigh University's John Covert Classic on January 29. The Ospreys placed fifth in a 10-team field of Division I, II and III teams. Senior Tiffany Masuhr captured first place in the weight throw with a mark of 13.92 meters. Sophomore Lisa Chatman placed second in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.83 seconds, while freshman Melissa Murphy placed sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 2.74 meters. Senior Jessica Caccamo placed second in the weight throw and fourth in the shot put with respective throws of 13.88 and 11.73 meters. The Osprey men traveled to Bethlehem, PA to compete at Lehigh University's John Covert Classic on January 29. The Ospreys placed seventh in a 10-team field of Division I, II and III teams. Juniors Jake Owens and Justin Lenzo placed second and third in the pole vault with respective marks of 4.41 and 4.26 meters. Junior Chris Johnson placed sixth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:11.33.

The Lion women traveled to Haverford, PA to compete at the Haverford College Invitational on January 29. Junior Brittny Boyd captured first place in the long jump with an NCAA provisional mark of 5.57 meters. Boyd also won the 55 meter dash and the 200 meters with respective times of 7.35 and 26.75. Sophomore Elyse Mitchell placed first in the pole vault with a mark of 2.89 meters, while freshman Carolyn Gray placed first in the 400 meters with a time of 60.38. Gray also placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 26.99. The Lion 4x200 meter relay team of sophomore Kristelle Manuyag, freshman Jessica Bonelli, freshman Savannah Creamer and junior Erika Huggler placed first with a winning time of 1:51.20. Manuyag placed first in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.43. Huggler also posted a time of 8.89 in the 55 meter hurdles for a second place finish. Sophomore Lindsay Force and freshman Sara Tomszuk placed third and fourth respectively in the 800 meters with times of 2:27.25 and 2:27.61. Junior Tiffany Clark placed second in the 400 meters with a time of 60.41. The Lion men traveled to Haverford, PA to compete at the Haverford College Invitational on January 29. The Lion distance medley relay team of senior Bill Vogel, junior Kevin Jones, junior Jeff Zodda and senior Matt Molski placed first with an NCAA provisional time of 10:12.9. Jones also placed first in the 200 meters with a time of 22.89. Junior Karim Cockrell placed first in the 60 meter dash with an NCAA provisional time of 6.5 seconds. Cockrell also placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 23.00. Junior Jeff Schwerdtman, junior Chris Tranchina and freshman Brian Donatelli placed first, second and third in the shot put with respective marks of 15.56, 14.64 and 14.08 meters. Tranchina  and Donatelli also placed first and second in the weight toss with personal best throws of 15.76 and 15.45 meters. Sophomore Ed Young placed second in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 7.99, while senior Tim Wilson placed first in the 400 meters with a winning time of 51.36. Senior Ed Marion and freshman Marquis Mitchell placed first and second in the high jump with identical leaps of 6.2 meters. Seniors Sean Lesniak and Adrian Cline placed sixth and eighth in the one mile run with respective times of 4:27.36 and 4:28.84.
