Stevens becomes the second
different Lion to earn NJAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors
after traveling to Boston, MA to compete at Boston University’s Valentine
Invitational. He was a member of the Lions’ Distance Medley Relay which
placed eighth in a field of 18 teams with an NCAA provisional time of
10:06.52. Stevens also was the top Division III finisher in the 500
meters, placing 11th overall in a field of 66 total competitors with an
ECAC qualifying time of 1:05.32. |

DeFeo earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
honors after traveling to New Haven, CT to compete at the Collegiate Track
& Field Conference Indoor Championships contested at Yale University’s Cox
Cage. He placed first in a field of 11 competitors in the pole vault with
an NCAA provisional mark of 4.70 meters. DeFeo, who won the event by
nearly two feet over the second place finisher, helped propel the Ospreys
to a 15th place finish in the 19-team championship. |

McCleese becomes the second different Gothic Knight to
earn NJAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week honors after
traveling to both New York City to compete in the New Balance College
Invitational, and New Haven, CT to compete at the CTC Championships. At
the 168th Street Armory, he was part of NJCU’s sixth place 4x200 meter
relay which posted the fastest NCAA Division III time this season with a
mark of 1:28.54. One day later, he was a member of the Gothic Knights’
4x200 meter relay which placed first in a field of 13 teams at the CTC
Championships with a winning time of 1:29.40. Individually, he placed
second in a field of 26 competitors in the 200 meters with a time of
22.64. McCleese’s performances helped NJCU place seventh overall in the
19-team CTC Championship. |
