TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Nnaemeka Ibeh, Rutgers-Newark Sophomore Colonia, NJ/Colonia
A Week Two NJAC Rookie of the Week selection, Ibeh earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after traveling to New York City to compete at the Rider-Lafayette Winter Games contested at the 168th Street Armory. He placed sixth in a field of 62 competitors in the 400 meters with a school-record and ECAC qualifying time of 49.77. He also placed seventh in a field of 89 competitors in the 200 meters with a school-record and ECAC qualifying time of 22.36. Ibeh’s performances marked the best Division III times in both events.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Brian Donatelli, The College of New Jersey Senior Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central
Donatelli earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after traveling to New York City to compete at the Rider-Lafayette Winter Games contested at the 168th Street Armory. He placed ninth in a field of 31 competitors in the weight throw with an ECAC qualifying mark of 15.63 meters. He also placed 11th in a field of 43 competitors in the shot put with a throw of 14.82 meters.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Chris Ziegler, Ramapo College Freshman Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood
Ziegler earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week honors after traveling to New York City to compete at the Rider-Lafayette Winter Games contested at the 168th Street Armory. He placed sixth in a field of 58 competitors in the 60 meter dash with a personal-best and ECAC qualifying mark of 7.02.
