TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK  

Jonathan Salamon, Rutgers University-Camden

Salamon earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after competing at the NJAC Indoor Championships contested at the John Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex in Toms River. He anchored the Scarlet Raptors’ NJAC Champion distance medley relay which placed first in a field of seven team with an ECAC qualifying time of 10:34.24. He also anchored Camden’s NJAC Champion 4x800 meter relay which placed first in a field of seven teams with an ECAC qualifying time of 8:05.32. Salamon’s performances helped propel the Scarlet Raptors to a fifth place finish in the nine-team championship.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

DeFeo earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after competing at the NJAC Indoor Championships contested at the John Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex in Toms River. He placed first in a field of seven competitors in the pole vault with a meet record and NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 4.88 meters. DeFeo also placed third in a field of 17 competitors in the weight throw with a mark of 13.62 meters.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Brown earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after competing at the NJAC Indoor Championships contested at the John Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex in Toms River. He placed first in a field of 15 competitors in the 55 meter hurdles with an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 7.54. Brown’s performance helped propel the Red Hawks to a fourth place finish in the nine-team championship.
