TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mike Fox, Rutgers University-Camden Senior Hainesport, NJ/Rancocas Valley Regional
Fox becomes the third different Scarlet Raptor to earn NJAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after traveling to New York City to compete at the NYU Fastrack Invitational held at the 168th Street Armory. He placed third in a field of 87 competitors in the 800 meters with a school-record and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:53.01. Fox’s time in the 800 was the best of any Division III athlete in the event.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Terrance Johnson, New Jersey City University Freshman Houston, TX/George Bush
Johnson earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after competing at the NYU Fastrack Invitational contested at the 168th Street Armory. He placed fifth in a field of 24 competitors in the high jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 1.97 meters. Johnson also placed 17th in a field of 35 competitors in the long jump with a leap of 6.51 meters.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Nnaemka Ibeh, Rutgers-Newark Sophomore Colonia, NJ/Colonia
Ibeh earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after competing at the NYU Fastrack Invitational held at the 168th Street Armory. He placed 26th in a field of 97 competitors in the 400 meters with a school-record and ECAC qualifying time of 49.50. Ibeh was also part of both the Scarlet Raptors’ 4x400 and Distance Medley Relays which placed 20th and fifth respectively with ECAC qualifying times of 3:27.81 and 10:37.87.
