TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK  

DeShard Stevens, The College of New Jersey
Sophomore
Jersey City, NJ/Ferris

Stevens earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after competing at both the ECAC Division III Championships at Harvard University and the IC4A Championships contested at Boston University. At the ECAC Championships, he placed second in a field of 19 competitors in the 500 meters with a time of 1:05.93. At the IC4A Championships, he was a member of the Lions’ 4x400 meter relay which placed 11th in a field of 23 teams with an NCAA provisional time of 3:17.15. Stevens also was a member of the Lions’ distance medley relay which placed 18th in a field of 28 teams with a time of 10:16.80. His performances helped the Lions place 24th in the 58-team ECAC Championship.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK  

Brian Donatelli, The College of New Jersey

Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central

Donatelli earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season after traveling to Cambridge, MA to compete at the ECAC Division III Championships held at Harvard University. He placed third in a field of eight competitors in the shot put with an NCAA provisional throw of 15.92 meters. He also placed 11th in a field of 23 competitors in the weight throw with a mark of 15.14 meters. Donatelli’s performances helped propel the Lions to a 24th place finish in the 58-team championship.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Nnaemka Ibeh, Rutgers-Newark

Ibeh earns NJAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week honors for the third time this season and the second consecutive week after traveling to Cambridge, MA to compete at the ECAC Division III Championships contested at Harvard University. He placed fifth in a field of 27 competitors in the 200 meters with a time of 22.37. He also placed eighth in a field of 28 competitors in the 400 meters with a time of 49.84. Ibeh, who earned all of Rutgers-Newark’s points in the meet, helped propel the Scarlet Raiders to a 45th place finish in the 58-team championship.
