TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK  

Ebony Barnes, New Jersey City University

Barnes earns NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season after competing at the ECAC Division III Championships hosted by Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. She placed sixth in field of 18 competitors in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.40 seconds. In the preliminaries of the 55-meter dash, she posted an NCAA provisional time of 7.33 seconds. She also placed sixth in a field of 17 competitors in the 200 meters with a time of 26.51. Barnes then anchored the NJCU 4x200 meter relay which placed fifth in a field of 21 teams with a time of 1:47.58. Her performances helped the Gothic Knights place 27th overall in the 56-team championship.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK  

Lisa Chatman, Richard Stockton College

Chatman earns NJAC Field Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season after competing at the ECAC Division III Championships hosted by Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. She captured the ECAC championship in the pentathlon, placing first in a field of five competitors with a winning point total of 3,219. On the season, she has captured pentathlon titles in both the Collegiate Track & Field Conference and ECAC Championships. Chatman’s performance helped the Ospreys place 17th overall in the 56-team championship.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Kristen Tricocci, The College of New Jersey

Tricocci earns NJAC Rookie honors for the second consecutive week after competing at the ECAC Division III Championships hosted by Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. She was a member of the Lions’ ECAC champion 4x400 meter relay team which placed first in a field of 16 with a winning time of 4:00.02. The victory by the Lion 4x400 relay marked the second straight championship event in which they have placed first. Tricocci’s performance helped the Lions place 10th overall in the 56-team championship.
