TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK  

Ebony Barnes, New Jersey City University
Junior

Barnes earns NJAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after traveling to Cambridge, MA to compete at the ECAC Division III Championships contested at Harvard University. She placed first in a field of 21 competitors in the 200 meters with a winning time of 25.51. She also was a member of the Gothic Knights’ 4x200 meter relay which placed first in a field of 29 teams with a winning time of 1:43.62. Barnes also placed sixth in a field of 20 competitors in the 55 meter dash with an NCAA provisional time of 7.27. Her performances helped NJCU place fourth overall in the 51-team championship.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

A Week 4 NJAC Rookie of the Week selection, Brown earns NJAC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after traveling to Cambridge, MA to compete at the ECAC Division III Championships held at Harvard University. She placed second in a field of 31 competitors in the long jump with an NCAA provisional leap of 5.44 meters. She also placed fifth in a field of 24 competitors in the triple jump with an NCAA provisional mark of 11.52 meters. Brown’s performances helped propel the Gothic Knights to a fourth place finish in the 51-team championship.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Wilcox earns NJAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this season and the third consecutive week after traveling to Cambridge, MA to compete at the ECAC Division III Championships contested at Harvard University. She placed third in a field of 25 competitors in the 400 meters with an NCAA provisional time of 58.00. She also was a member of the Gothic Knights’ 4x200 meter relay which placed first in a field of 29 teams with a winning time of 1:43.62. Wilcox’s performances helped propel NJCU to a fourth place finish in the 51-team championship.
