PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 2

Derick Grant, The College of New Jersey
Junior, Guard, Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery

Grant earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after averaging 21.0 points per game in three contests for the Lions. He opened the week by tallying eight points and three rebounds in TCNJ's 63-51 loss to Richard Stockton. In the first round of the Gallaudet Tournament, he registered a career-high 32 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field in an 84-80 loss to Widener. He wrapped up the week by posting 23 points on 10-of-19 shooting in TCNJ's 67-63 consolation game victory over McDaniel. Grant currently ranks fifth in the NJAC in scoring with an average of 18.4 points per game.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - WEEK 2

Abraham Williams, New Jersey City University
Freshman, Center, Jersey City, NJ/Lincoln

Williams earns NJAC Rookie honors after leading the Gothic Knights to a key conference road victory over No. 10 ranked Ramapo. He tallied a team-high 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field as NJCU earned a 92-79 win over the Roadrunners. He also registered seven rebounds and three steals as the Knights improved to 2-1 on the season. Williams currently ranks third in the NJAC in scoring with an average of 21.3 points per game.
