Gonzalez earns the first NJAC
Men's Basketball Player of the Week selection after averaging 21.0 points
and 8.5 rebounds en route to being named the Most Valuable Player of the
Steve Adubato One-on-One Classic. He opened the season with a
double-double 24 points and 11 rebounds in 22 minutes of action in the Red
Hawks' 87-77 win over Plymouth State. One day later, he posted 18 points,
six rebounds and six assists while shooting 8-of-12 from the field in
MSU's 92-54 win over Centenary. In the two victories combined, he shot
55.6 percent from the field and 92.3 percent from the free throw line.
Gonzalez currently ranks second in the NJAC in scoring with an average of
21.0 points per game. |

Byrnes
earns the first NJAC Rookie of the Week honor after leading the Profs in
scoring during Rowan's 74-72 season-opening defeat to Gwynedd-Mercy. He
tallied 16 points in 29 minutes of action in the first collegiate game of
his career. He also contributed five rebounds and an assist, while
registering a team-high three three-point field goals in the Profs'
opener. Byrnes currently ranks seventh in the NJAC in scoring with an
average of 16.0 points per game. |
