Derick Grant, The College of New Jersey

In a week of numerous strong conference performers, Grant earns NJAC Player honors for the second time this season after averaging 26.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in a 3-0 week for the Lions. He first tallied a game-high 31 points on 12-of-20 shooting in the Lions' 87-73 non-conference road win at Wesley. After posting 24 points and seven rebounds in TCNJ's 110-63 NJAC road win at Rutgers-Camden, he wrapped up the week by notching a double-double 25 points and 10 rebounds in the Lions' 87-69 victory over Baruch in the 2004 CUNY-NJAC Challenge. TCNJ's 10th all-time leading scorer with 1,178 career points, Grant currently leads the NJAC in scoring with an average of 22.0 points per game.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Mario Lancioni, Richard Stockton College
Freshman, Guard
Runnemede, NJ/Triton

Lancioni earns NJAC Rookie honors after averaging 15.0 points, thee rebounds and three assists per game in a 1-1 week for the Ospreys. He opened the week by tallying 10 points, four rebounds, a team-high six assists, and two steals in Stockton's 76-64 non-conference road loss to Catholic. He wrapped up the week by posting a career-high 19 points in the Ospreys' 71-69 victory over New York City Tech in the 2004 CUNY-NJAC Challenge. Lancioni currently ranks sixth in the NJAC in assists with an average of 3.38 per game.
