Smith becomes the second different Osprey to earn NJAC Player honors after averaging 31.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for Richard Stockton in which the Ospreys earned the number two seed in the NJAC Championship Tournament. He first tallied 29 points and a career-high 12 rebounds in Stockton's key 76-67 NJAC win over Rowan. He wrapped up the week by notching a career-high 33 points while adding seven rebounds in the Ospreys' 94-80 victory over Ramapo to clinch the number two seed and a first round tournament bye. Smith and the Ospreys will host the winner of the first round Rutgers-Newark-Montclair State game in Pomona on February 23. Smith currently ranks second in the NJAC in free throw percentage with a mark of .836.

Matt Byrnes, Rowan University

Byrnes earns NJAC Rookie honors for the sixth time this season and the fourth consecutive week after averaging 13.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game during the week for the Profs. He first tallied 10 points and six rebounds in Rowan's 70-59 loss to Montclair State. He then added 19 points and six rebounds in the Profs' 76-67 loss to Richard Stockton, before wrapping up the regular season with 11 points and eight rebounds in Rowan's 71-63 loss to Rutgers-Newark. The Profs are seeded sixth in the NJAC Tournament and will travel to third-seeded TCNJ for an opening round contest on February 21. Byrnes currently ranks 11th in the NJAC in scoring with an average of 14.3 points per game.
