Byrnes earns NJAC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after registering a team-high 24 points in the Profs’ 79-61 non-conference road win at Chestnut Hill. In the victory, he shot 8-of-12 from the field, 4-of-6 from three-point range, and perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. He also added five rebounds, two assists and one steal in Rowan’s eighth victory of the season. Byrnes currently ranks second in the NJAC in scoring with an average of 18.7 points per game.

Byrne becomes the second different Red Hawk to earn NJAC Rookie honors after tallying a team-high 16 points during Montclair’s 93-61 non-conference victory over Briarcliffe. In the win, he shot 4-of-6 from three point range and 4-of-4 from the foul line in just 15 minutes of action. Byrne currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in three-point field goal percentage with a mark of .417.
