OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Andrew Dorsey, Rutgers University-Camden Junior, Forward Mt. Laurel, NJ/King's Christian School
Dorsey earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after registering eight points in a 2-0-1 week of action for the Scarlet Raptors. He opened the week by assisting on the game-winning goal in Camden’s 2-0 non-conference road win at Gwynedd-Mercy. Two days later, he notched his third career hat trick and second of the season with three scores in the Raptors’ 9-2 non-conference win over Lebanon Valley. He wrapped up the week by netting the game-tying goal in Camden’s 1-1 NJAC draw with rival Ramapo. Dorsey currently ranks ninth in the NJAC in goals per game (0.57).
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ian Tighe, Ramapo College Sophomore, Goalkeeper Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo
Tighe earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after leading the Roadrunners to a win and a draw in a pair of conference contests. He first collected seven saves for his fourth shutout of the season in Ramapo’s 2-0 NJAC road win at Rutgers-Newark. Three nights later, he notched 10 saves in a 110 minutes of action while allowing just one score in the Roadrunners’ 1-1 NJAC road draw at Rutgers-Camden. Tighe currently leads the NJAC in saves per game (6.00).
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Chris Edelschein, Montclair State University Freshman, Forward Medford, NJ/Shawnee
Edelschein earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after playing a key role in the Red Hawks’ 3-1 NJAC win over Richard Stockton. In Montclair’s only game of the week, he tallied two-of-the-three Red Hawk goals for his second multiple-goal game of the season. Edelschein currently ranks tied for fifth in the NJAC in goals scored with 10 on the season.
