TCNJ CAPTURES THE 2009 NJAC WOMEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP

EWING—Second-seeded TCNJ and fourth-seeded Richard Stockton played to a draw in the 2009 NJAC Women's Soccer Championship Match, but the Lions' prevailed 7-6 in penalty kicks after 110 minutes of scoreless play to claim the conference title.
The Lions have now claimed 13 NJAC championships since the inception of women's soccer as a conference sport in 1994. TCNJ has claimed 4-of-the-last-5 league titles, and 9-of-the-last-11 dating back to 1999.
As champions of the NJAC, the Lions also earned the conference's automatic qualification to the 2009 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
