ROWAN SOFTBALL RAISES FUNDS FOR THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University softball team held a “Strike Out Cancer” fundraiser furing the 2009 season for the American Cancer Society.
The Profs sold paper strikeouts that were displayed at their game on April 18. On that day, a raffle was conducted for two Phillies tickets to a suite and various articles of Rowan athletic gear. The softball team raised $725 that will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Rowan’s director of alumni relations Kathy Rozanski threw out the first pitch. She is a one-year breast cancer survivor. Rowan student Kevin Mohr won the raffle and claimed the Phillies tickets.
