MEN

The Osprey women hosted the Stockton Invitational in Pomona on March 25. Junior Audra Schappell captured first place in the discus with a throw of 35.06 meters. Schappell also placed fourth in both the hammer throw and shot put with respective marks of 38.02 and 10.78 meters. Junior Katie Dirkes placed first in the hammer throw and second in the pole vault with respective marks of 42.34 and 2.45 meters.    The Osprey men hosted the Stockton Invitational in Pomona on March 25. Junior Paul Klemic placed first in the 100 meter hurdles with a winning time of 14.53. Klemic also tied for fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.78 meters. Senior Steve Cassidy captured first place in the hammer throw with a mark of 43.05 meters, while junior Rich Luettchau placed first in the race walk with a winning time of 13:56.41.

The Lion women traveled to West Long Branch to compete at the Monmouth University Spring Invitational on March 25. Freshman Martine McGrath placed sixth in the 1,500 meters with an ECAC qualifying time of 4:52.47. Sophomore Erin Enderly and freshman Megan O'Leary placed ninth and 10th in the 1,500 meters with respective times of 4:56.43 and 4:56.55. Junior Allyson Krayl and senior Kara Horner placed fourth and eighth in the 5,000 meters with respective ECAC qualifying times of 18:13.71 and 18:35.92. Sophomore Julie Ullmeyer placed 20th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:12.97. Sophomore Susan Crum and sophomore Sara Best placed 17th and 24th in the 400 meters with respective times of 1:02.44 and 1:03.66. Sophomore Natalie Stabenow placed 16th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.44. Stabenow also placed 11th in the triple jump with a leap of 9.82 meters.   The Lion men traveled to West Long Branch to compete at the Monmouth University Spring Invitational on March 25. Freshman Christopher Guerriero and freshman Kyle Alpaugh placed eighth and 10th in the 5,000 meters with respective ECAC qualifying times of 15:13.34 and 15:20.95. Freshman Matt Dolan placed 25th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:17.43. Freshman Greg Bull and freshman Pasquale DiGioacchino placed 11th and 13th in the 1,500 meters with respective times of 4:09.84 and 4:12.22. Junior Colin Pierce tied for third in the triple jump with a leap of 12.75 meters. Pierce also placed 19th in the 100 meters and 36th in the 200 meters with times of 11.92 and 24.18. Freshman Rob McGowan placed ninth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.84, while senior Brian Hoffman placed seventh in the pole vault with a mark of 3.96 meters. Senior Kevin Jones and sophomore Wes Friedman placed 22nd and 24th in the 400 meters with respective times of 51.48 and 51.55. Senior Chris Tranchina placed 26th in the discus and 26th in the shot put with respective throws of 37.62 and 12.66 meters.
