Zodda earns NJAC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors for the fifth time this season and the third consecutive week after competing at the Swarthmore & TCNJ Last Chance Meets held in Swarthmore, PA and Ewing respectively. He placed first in a field of 20 competitors in the 800 meters with an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 1:50.08. Zodda also anchored the Lions’ 4x400 meter relay team which placed second in a five-team field with a time of 3:16.51.

Aaron Braxton, Rowan University

Braxton earns NJAC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the sixth time this season and the second consecutive week after competing at the Swarthmore & TCNJ Last Chance Meets in Swarthmore, PA and Ewing respectively. In the discus competition at Swarthmore, he placed first in a field of 13 competitors with a mark of 47.67 meters. In the discus competition at TCNJ, he placed second in a field of seven competitors with a throw of 49.11 meters. Braxton wrapped up the week by placing second in a field of six competitors in the shot put competition at TCNJ with a throw of 15.51 meters.

Jamar Byrd, New Jersey City University

Byrd earns NJAC Rookie honors for the third time this season after competing at the ECAC Division III Championships hosted by SUNY Oneonta. He placed second in a field of 14 competitors in the long jump with a leap of 6.69 meters. He also placed 11th in a field of 27 competitors in the triple jump with a leap of 13.38 meters. Byrd’s performances helped propel the Gothic Knights to a 22nd place finish in the 44-team championship.
