Brown earns NJAC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the
Week honors for the second time this season after being named the Thomas
M. Gerrity Most Outstanding Male Athlete at the 2008 NJAC Outdoor
Championships hosted by Richard Stockton. He placed first in a field of 15
competitors in the 100 meter hurdles with a NCAA provisional time of
14.56. He also placed first in a field of 24 competitors in the 400 meter
hurdles with a NCAA provisional time of 54.02. Brown’s performances helped
propel the Red Hawks to a fifth place finish in the nine-team conference
championship. |

Asimou earns NJAC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the
Week honors for the third time this season after being selected as the
Outstanding Male Field Athlete at the 2008 NJAC Outdoor Championships
hosted by Richard Stockton. He placed first in a field of 23 competitors
in the shot put with a NCAA provisional throw of 16.04 meters. He also
placed first in a field of 18 competitors in the hammer throw with an ECAC
qualifying mark of 46.50 meters. Asimou also posted a third place finish
in a field of 21 in the discus with an ECAC qualifying throw of 42.90
meters. His performances helped propel the Red Hawks to a fifth place
finish in the nine-team conference championship. |

A two-time NJAC Track Athlete of the Week selection,
McCleese earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after being named the
Outstanding Track Athlete at the 2008 NJAC Outdoor Championships hosted by
Richard Stockton. He placed first in a field of eight competitors in the
100 meter dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 10.81. He also placed first
in a field of 24 competitors in the 200 meters with an ECAC qualifying
time of 22.07. McCleese also was a member of the Gothic Knights’ 4x100
meter relay which placed first in a field of five teams with a NCAA
provisional time of 41.41. His performances helped propel NJCU to a third
place finish in the nine-team conference championship. |
