Herrick becomes the third different Lion to earn NJAC
Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after competing at the
Duke University Invitational in Durham, NC. She placed 10th in a field of
50 competitors in the 800 meters with an NCAA provisional time of 2:13.45.
Herrick was the top Division III finisher in the 800 meter event. |

Schappell earns NJAC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of
the Week honors for the third consecutive week after competing at
Stockton’s own Osprey Open in Pomona, NJ. She placed first in a field of
19 competitors in the discus with a season-best throw of 43.73 meters.
Schappell also placed fifth in a field of 12 competitors in the hammer
throw with a toss of 40.88 meters. |

Shepherd earns NJAC Outdoor Rookie of the Week honors
after competing at Stockton’s own Osprey Open in Pomona, NJ. She placed
first in a field of nine competitors in the high jump with a personal-best
leap of 1.58 meters. Shepherd also was a member of the Stockton 4x100
meter relay team which placed fourth with a time of 58.80. |
