McGrath becomes the fourth different Lion to earn NJAC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after competing at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA. The lone Division III runner in the 5,000 meter event, McGrath placed 24th in a field of 31 competitors with an NCAA provisional time of 17:26.19.

Schappell earns NJAC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the fifth time this season after competing at both the Penn Relays and the Lions’ Invitational. Just one of two Division III throwers at the Penn Relays, she placed 25th in a field of 37 competitors in the college women’s discus with a mark of 41.11 meters. One day later at TCNJ, she placed second in a field of 30 competitors in the discus with a mark of 42.30 meters. She also placed sixth in a field of 40 competitors in the shot put with a mark of 11.39 meters. Schappell was the top Division III finisher in both the discus and shot put at the Lions’ Invitational.
