PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

 

Jamie Assini, Rowan University
Sophomore, First Baseman
Deptford, NJ/East Brunswick

Assini earns the first NJAC Player of the Week honor after hitting .429 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the first week of action for the Profs. In Rowan's 8-2 win over Lynchburg in Virginia Beach, VA, she went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored in the victory which improved the Profs to 2-1 overall on the season. 

PITCHER OF THE WEEK  

Jessica Kohut, The College of New Jersey
Sophomore, Left-handed Pitcher
Hillsdale, NJ/Pascack Valley

Kohut earns the first NJAC Pitcher of the Week honor after recording a 0.00 earned run average in her first two outings of the season. In victories over Waynesburg and Misericordia in Kissimmee, FL, she struck out 16 while walking just one in 13 innings of work to improve to 2-0 on the season.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Christina Lizzi, The College of New Jersey
Freshman, Outfielder
Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo

Lizzi earns the first NJAC Rookie selection after hitting .444 with a double, two triples and two RBI in TCNJ's first three games of the season in Kissimmee, FL. She first went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, stolen base and an RBI in the Lions' 5-1 win over Waynesburg. She wrapped up her first collegiate week by going 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI in TCNJ's 5-0 victory over Misericordia.
