Zimmerman earns NJAC Player of
the Week honors after hitting .769 during a 4-0 week for the Lions. In
victories over Rochester (2) and Swarthmore (2), she was 10-for-13 with
five doubles, one triple, two home runs, eight RBI and seven runs scored.
She also stole four bases and posted a slugging percentage of 1.759 for
the week. She collected at least one hit, scored at least one run, and
drove in at least one run during all four contests and finished the week
with a .786 on-base percentage. Zimmerman currently leads the NJAC in
doubles (8), stolen bases (10) and total at-bats (55). |

DeSalvo
earns NJAC Pitcher honors after posting two wins and a save during the
week for the Ospreys. She first allowed just three hits and one earned run
while striking out 10 in seven innings of work during Stockton's 3-1 win
over John Jay. In the second game of the John Jay doubleheader, she picked
up the save after an inning of scoreless work to preserve a 2-0 victory.
She wrapped up the week by surrendering just three hits in seven innings
while striking out 13 in the Ospreys' 2-0 win over Hunter. DeSalvo
currently ranks fifth among all NJAC pitchers with a 0.49 earned run
average. |

Cascino
earns NJAC Rookie honors after hitting .470 during the week for the
Roadrunners during the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, FL. In games
against Wisconsin Eau-Claire, Grove City, Carthage, Wisconsin-River Falls
and Wisconsin-Stevens Point, she was a combined 8-for-17 with five runs
scored and two RBI. She hit safely in all five contests and propelled the
Roadunners to a 3-2 record for the week. Cascino currently ranks fourth in
the NJAC in hitting with a .485 batting average. |
