PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

 

Liz Sisca, William Paterson University
Sophomore, Infielder
Andover, NJ/Newton

Sisca earns NJAC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after hitting .423 with five home runs, nine RBI, eight runs scored and a 1.000 slugging percentage during a 7-3 week for the Pioneers. In a non-conference doubleheader sweep of Manhattanville, the sophomore belted her 13th career homer to become Paterson's all-time career leader in home runs. She also homered once in both ends of doubleheader split with Richard Stockton during the week while adding a round-tripper in the Pioneers' doubleheader split with Rowan. Sisca currently leads the NJAC in slugging percentage (.985), home runs (8), and total bases (67). 

PITCHER OF THE WEEK  

Michelle Schlichtig, Rutgers-Camden
Junior, Right-handed Pitcher
Barrington, NJ/Haddon Heights

Schlichtig earns NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors for the fourth time this season and the second consecutive week after going 4-0 on the mound while not allowing an earned run in 25 innings of work. She opened the week by pitching both ends of the Scarlet Raptors' doubleheader sweep over Ramapo while holding the Roadrunners to just four hits in 14 combined innings while striking out 24. In victories of Cabrini and Rutgers-Newark, she allowed just one hit in 11 innings while striking out 23 to improve her season record to 17-0. Schlichtig currently leads the NJAC in both earned run average (0.26) and batting average (.459).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Christina Lizzi, The College of New Jersey

Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo

Lizzi earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after hitting .524 during a 4-2 week for the Lions. She opened the week by going a combined 6-for-9 with two home runs and five RBI in TCNJ's doubleheader split with Rutgers-Newark. After going 3-for-6 with two doubles in the Lions' doubleheader sweep of Kean, she wrapped up the week by going 2-for-6 with a run scored in TCNJ's doubleheader split with Ramapo. Lizzi currently ranks third in the NJAC with a .488 on-base percentage.

ROOKIE PITCHER OF THE WEEK  
 

Carolyn McCrea, Montclair State University
Freshman, Right-handed Pitcher
Jefferson Township, NJ/Jefferson

McCrae earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher honors after going 2-0 with a 0.79 earned run average in four appearances during the week for the Red Hawks. She opened the week by striking out six in a combined five-and-two-thirds innings of work in both ends of a doubleheader against Ramapo. She then threw a one-hitter with five strikeouts in Montclair's 10-0 non-conference blanking of John Jay. She wrapped up the week by striking out eight while surrendering just four hits in the Red Hawks' 5-1 NJAC victory over Richard Stockton. McCrea currently ranks eighth among all NJAC pitchers with a 0.79 earned run average.
