PLAYER OF THE WEEK  

 

Andrea Pastiglione, Ramapo College
Junior, Outfielder
Southern California, CA/Hunterdon

Pastiglione becomes the first Roadrunner to earn NJAC Player of the Week honors after hitting .600 with 10 RBI in a 7-1 week for Ramapo. In a pair of non-conference sweeps over USMMA-Kings Point and Division II Nyack, she was a combined 6-for-12 with 5 RBI and two runs scored. In Ramapo's NJAC doubleheader sweep of Rutgers-Newark, she was a perfect 6-for-6 with three RBI and three runs scored. She wrapped up the week by going 3-for-7 with two RBI in the Roadrunners' NJAC doubleheader split with Richard Stockton. Pastiglione currently is hitting a conference-best .467 against NJAC pitching.  

PITCHER OF THE WEEK  

Sara Dickey, Rowan University
Senior, Left-handed Pitcher
Skippack, PA/Perkiomen Valley

The 2004 NJAC Pitcher of the Year, Dickey earns Pitcher of the Week honors after posting a 2-1 record in three starts while not surrendering an earned run. She opened the week by allowing just four hits and one unearned run in seven innings of work in the Profs' 1-0 loss to TCNJ. She followed up that performance with two complete-game non-conference shutout victories over Lebanon Valley and NJCU. In the two wins, she allowed a combined eight hits in 14 innings of work while striking out 11 and walking none. Dickey, 9-5 overall on the season, currently ranks tied for second in the NJAC with a 0.57 earned run average.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK  

Jackie Ferranti, Montclair State University
Freshman, Infielder
Bergenfield, NJ/Bergenfield

Ferranti earns NJAC Rookie honors after hitting .538 with a double, home run and four RBI in a 3-0-1 week for the Red Hawks. She first went 2-for-6 with a double and an RBI in a non-conference doubleheader win and tie against Staten Island. She wrapped up the week by going 5-for-9 with a home run and three RBI in Montclair's NJAC sweep over TCNJ. Ferranti currently ranks third in the NJAC in on-base percentage with a mark of .468.

ROOKIE PITCHER OF THE WEEK  
 

Diana Schraer, William Paterson University
Freshman, Right-handed Pitcher
Paramus, NJ/Paramus

Schraer earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher honors for the third time this season after allowing just one earned run in two appearances during the week for the Pioneers. She opened the week by allowing one run over three-and-two thirds innings of relief work in Paterson's non-conference contest with Drew. She wrapped up the week by improving to 7-1 overall on the season by earning a two-hit shutout victory over NJAC foe Rutgers-Newark. Schraer currently ranks tied for second in the NJAC with a 0.57 earned run average.
